Now that you've started Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training, it's time to learn more about getting better at it. Here are seven tips that will help you become an expert at BJJ. Every BJJ student should know and use these seven tips to make a massive difference in their performance.

Get ready.

Not just BJJ, but every task you do requires preparation, and you can only do well if you've done it well. Eat enough calories before training, wear BJJ gear like a Gi, shorts, rash guard, etc., and show up on time.

Be Consistent

It's not enough to consistently show up to the training sessions; you also need to be consistent with all the essential things you've learned. Try to learn more about BJJ training and how some tips can help you get better at it. Don't take a break from training, and plan your other tasks around your BJJ training times. Always make sure you aren't missing out on something important that could hurt your training. For example, you know that you should always wear a BJJ rash guard. If you forget to wear it and get a big rash on your skin, you might have to skip training for a few days. Stick to your diet plan and eat at the right times. If you eat with friends at random before or after your workout, it can hurt your performance. The rule is that you should never eat too much or too little.

Write down what you find out.

Write down everything your trainer tells you because you might forget some important things later. Once you have written them down, read them every day so you can remember all of your trainer's tips and instructions. Even if your trainer only tells you something once, write it down. For example, if he says it's important to wear compression gear, you should write it down, remind yourself, and never forget to wear it during training. Please read this to learn more about BJJ compression gear and its importance for your sessions. You can also lookup ways to improve your BJJ training on the Internet. Write these tips down and talk about them with the trainer.

Always ask questions if you are unsure.

Ask your trainer any questions you may have about anything. Your trainer is your teacher. It shows that the student is interested in the training and feels excellent when asking questions. Sometimes you may already know a lot, but a simple tip can help clarify your doubts. This will allow you to win your next BJJ match against your mate. Do your research, then seek out the help of the trainers. This will allow you to learn more and have a productive discussion with them. Trainees eager to learn and excel will be more interested in the trainer. You never know. He might share some of the most valuable tips no one else would have because they were hesitant.

Pay attention to the details.

BJJ skills and training are not something you can learn quickly. Each movement must be carefully considered. One small error can cost you your best skills. So keep your eyes on the details. As you might have noticed, a good or poor grip can determine whether a BJJ match is won or lost. You can learn from your trainer the details you should focus on and then practice them repeatedly until you are an expert.

To increase training time.

Do not rely solely on the time you have been given. If you are determined to excel at BJJ, you must put in the extra effort others are making. Be the first to leave and come back when your friends are gone. You will learn the basics of BJJ under the guidance of your trainer and can then practise these skills after class or before the next one.
